His work has been screened at Cannes, on television and theatrically in Los Angeles. His fiction career has culminated in professional distribution deals, and his most recent production is an adaptation of a Stephen King short story.

​

His work in documentary has taken him far and wide across North America, from factories in Los Angeles to embassies in New York, from the cozy green room of a Portland Concert Hall to the front line of a clash between far-left and far-right demonstrators in Quebec City.

​

He is always seeking new challenges and productions to embark on, whether commercial or artistic.

STEPHEN BAXTER

Stephen Baxter is a filmmaker from Montreal, Canada. Beginning his filmmaking career in the run-&-gun low budget filmmaking world, Stephen went on to spend years learning the craft of filmmaking by doing, winning awards for Best Short and Best Direction for his short film “Brendan” along the way. Since then he’s earned a degree in Film Production from the esteemed Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University.

Stephen now divides his time between freelancing, and working to create dynamic, quality entertainment content, both documentary and fiction. His work has seen him work with NHL players, Grammy-award winning rock stars, Academy-Award winning filmmakers, as well as earning him the privilege of meeting such diverse intellectuals and statesmen as Steven Pinker and Henry Kissinger.
